  • Non-greasy hair and no styling products used: Wash every 3 – 14 days
  • Greasy hair and no styling products used: Wash every 1 – 3 days.
  • Non-greasy hair and natural styling products used: Wash every 1 – 7 days
  • Greasy hair and natural styling products used: Wash every 1 – 2 days

Of course if you’re adding styling products to your hair you should rinse these out before bed to prevent them from getting rubbed into your scalp and clogging your pores.
The most important rule to follow is to never let grease and styling products build up on your scalp – this can cause the pores to become blocked, preventing hair growth.

  1. What if I am going to the gym every day and I am getting sweat. How many times per week I have to wash my hair?

    1. If you’re going to the gym everyday and getting sweaty you should at least rinse your hair and scalp daily with water to remove the sweat. The most important thing is to thoroughly wash any grease (sebum) off of your scalp, as sebum contains DHT, which is one of the main causes of hair loss. Men who suffer from greasy skin should wash their hair and scalp daily to remove sebum. I would suggest doing the same with sweat, although water alone is probably sufficient to remove sweat, where as sebum requires shampoo to remove.
